Ulverston and District Equine Club
We are a local true 'grass roots' riding club established in 1982, based on the outskirts of Ulverston on the edge of the Furness peninsula. We cater for all ages and abilities of riders, with our youngest riders being 3 years of age and our more senior members are of pensionable age with approximately 160 members from all over Cumbria and Lancashire. We are affiliated to NCPA and STARS. Our main shows are from May to September; however August is our 'sash and championship show'.
The committee work on a strictly voluntary basis, which includes maintenance of equipment and often at their own expense to enable the club to provide shows, guidance and training in our local equestrian community thus benefits our members by keeping our membership and class entries at an affordable rate for our members.
We have a full course of Jump 4 Joy competition show jumps and a full Little Oaks Working Hunter course, which is built by a qualified BSPS / NPS course builder.
All our members catering needs are provided by our local butchers Shepherds Farm Shop. The photographer in attendance at the shows is Lottie Christian (Please find her link at the bottom of the page)
